Holby Grange Cottages – Beautiful Holiday Cottages in the Heart of Yorkshire

Highly recommend the beautiful Holtby Grange Holiday Cottages
The Holtby Grange Holiday Cottages are all well appointed, stylish and comfortable, and have everything you need. The setting is lovely, with views across the fields and a beautiful flower filled courtyard. We enjoyed sitting out in the evening and having breakfast in the sunshine. Highly recommend.

Peaceful, relaxing, fantastic for a large group
We booked all 5 cottages for our wedding party of 17 people + a toddler for the weekend. It was a stunningly beautiful setting with the communal courtyard providing a relaxing setting in the sun (and very well soundproofed both in the courtyard and the cottages). The location is only 15mins ish from York and is in the middle of nowhere meaning it had such peaceful surroundings. The cottage I stayed in, Applegate, had 2 bedrooms/bathrooms and everything we needed kitchen wise (inc sugar/tea/coffee etc, but having some salt and pepper would have been nice). Excellent communication from Elaine and kindly helped us out when I messed up an element of the booking. Thank you!

Lovely Stay
We stayed at Holtby Grange Cottages over the Easter break after an issue with our original accommodation (nothing to do with Holtby), and needed a last minute place to stay. We’re so glad we found it! The owner really went above and beyond to help us, and everything was smooth despite the extremely short notice. The place was beautiful, clean, cosy, and well equipped. The rural location is lovely and peaceful, only a couple of miles from York, which made it perfect for us. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again.

Given what is available in the area, this is a place we prefer and will return to if available.
The location is close to family members who live in York( and who we visit regularly). The Cottage is exactly as advertised in the website photographs. We like the place, it was our second stay this year and we will stay again (if it is available). There is plenty of space in the cottage and the outside area is also useful (weather permitting). The place was clean to a good standard and in a quiet location. Obviously a vehicle is needed if you plan to stay in the cottage, there is plenty of parking. We use it as a base to look after our 4 year old grand child, it is easy to keep him occupied, looking at the fish in the garden pond, and wandering around the local lanes looking for sheep, rabbits, birds and twigs (all the stuff that kids like to find).

A customer for life
A truly beautiful set of cottages and Elaine was an amazing host. Any queries prior to arrival was answered promptly and she even knocked down our price a little to accommodate our budget. Elaine was super friendly when she visited the property whilst also maintaining her distance as to go unnoticed as she went about her maintenance duties. The cottages perfectly accommodated a group of 14. The lay out of the cottages was the highlight, all backing out onto an open courtyard with a stunning water feature in the centre. With good weather this proved to be the main hub of our groups socialising, especially on an evening when the fairy lights turn on. Couldn't fault the rooms, all in pristine condition with great bathroom/shower facilities. Each had a smart TV and Log burner which made for a lovely cosy night in. The kitchen had everything you could ever need for a self catering unit. In terms of parking, there is plenty of space and all for free. As a group of 14, we took 5 cars and this was no issue with plenty of room for more if needed. The location, remote and peaceful but still only a 15 minute drive/ taxi into the centre. I think the uber to town was £8 in total. My one only tiny recommendation, maybe bring some citronella candles if you plan to spent time in the courtyard. Bug spray is provided in some of the cottages but this proves to be ineffective when out side. 10/10 would recommend and this will definitely be my go to number one option for any future events I attend in York!

Comfortable stay
We had a lovely stay at Holtby Grange Cottages. The accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The environment is beautiful and it was nice waking up to see the lambs in the field in the morning. The travel time into York itself was only 13 minutes. There was a good range of shops nearby for amenities too. Overall a nice stay.

Perfect Peace and Quiet!
Perfect in every way! The Cozy Cottage is well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Parking is ample and adjacent. A storage area for my cycle was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended. The outside courtyard is beautifully maintained. A very quiet location for a relaxing break. For a trip into York the Monks Bar Park and Ride is just a ten minute drive away. We have already booked our next trip for next spring!

Comfortable family holiday home
Very comfortable apartment, in the two floor Granary. Nice quiet setting. Lovely shared outside area with restful water feature. Really well equipped and nicely decorated. Ample parking. Appreciated the orange juice, milk, biscuits, tea and coffee provided. Light and airy upstairs. The only downside might be the ground floor doesn't seem to be quite finished, eg the window sills weren't painted and some loose wiring in downstairs toilet. The communication was friendly, responsive and helpful. TV included Netflix, which was appreciated by our younger family member. We made good use of the park and ride into York, which was convenient. We would come back here again.

The perfect break
Found these cottages on line and booked for a mid week experience in York. We were certainly not disappointed, the cottages are situated about 5 miles outside of York in a quiet countryside location. We stayed at Field View Cottage which sleeps six comfortably and was spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming and pretty near perfect. The owners were very friendly and proactive and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this place either for a short stay, a long stay or for the hire of multiple cottages as there are five and ideal for larger parties. Check it out on their web site. We were so impressed and believe me that’s not an easy task.
